Open Access Policy

The Journal of Multidisciplinary and Translational Research (JMTR) of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya adheres to open-access publishing, with all content accessible without a subscription cost, striving to ensure that knowledge is universally accessible. Since the JMTR is an open-access publication, neither the user nor their institution will be charged for access to any of the content. The complete texts of the articles may be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, linked to, and used for non-commercial purposes without prior permission from the publisher or author.
This approach encourages the wide dissemination of scientific discoveries, thus enhancing collaboration and innovation. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons license, which allows individuals to distribute their work with proper attribution for non-commercial purposes. This commitment reflects the journal's mission to advance scholarly communication and worldwide knowledge sharing.

Advantages for authors by Open Access Policy:

• Open access (OA) publications are immediately and permanently available online once they are published, allowing for greater dissemination and visibility.

• Since open-access publications are often published under a Creative Commons license, authors can easily comply with the open-access mandates of their institution or funding organization.
• The completed version is immediately depositable in any repository and may be reused.
• The final version can be re-used and immediately deposited in any repository.
• Usually, authors preserve the copyright to their work.
• Articles are tracked by citations and exist in all significant bibliographic databases.
We absolutely think that information should be accessible to everyone, irrespective of institutional, financial, or geographic constraints. Our commitment to open access stems from several core concepts:

1. Global Accessibility: We pledge to make all of our published material openly accessible, so that anybody, wherever in the world, can freely access, read, download, and disseminate our research articles for non-commercial purposes.

2. Community Support: Collaboration, creativity, and the sharing of ideas among researchers, academics, students, and practitioners are encouraged by open access. We want to enable people to interact with cutting-edge information and build stronger research communities by providing unlimited access to our publications.
3. Author Empowerment: We recognise the importance of researchers being able to efficiently share their findings. With the help of our open access strategy, authors may reach a larger audience, which raises the profile and significance of their work.
4. Visibility and Impact: Research findings are more easily disseminated globally and have more potential for practical applications when published in open access papers, which are also more often read and referenced.
5. Knowledge and Preservation: Our publications include a rich cultural and scientific legacy that we are committed to protecting. We make sure that research publications are preserved for future generations to access through long-term archiving, which adds to the continuous body of knowledge.
6. Ethical Publishing Standards: To preserve the standard and integrity of the research we publish, the Journal of Multidisciplinary and Translational Research Publications adheres to strict editorial guidelines and peer review procedures. Our dedication to moral publication procedures guarantees that scientific quality is not endangered by open access.
